See How We are Connecting Parents and Families To Redesign the Mental Healthcare System To Better Serve Their Loved Ones . . . and Themselves
FamilyPsychConsumeris creating a new online community to connect parents and families wanting to share, support, learn, and work together as they deal with the daily challenges of a loved one living with mental illness.
We are building a community that delivers unbiased coaching, quality resources, and support to family caregivers wanting to successfully navigate the confusing world of behavioral healthcare.
We live in a real-time sharing and connected world. All types of healthcare providers are connecting with their patients and families to understand their needs, ask their opinions, and validate them as stakeholders… except in mental health. The world of hospitals, therapists, psychiatrists, and addiction treatment does a great job marketing its services to families but makes no effort to help them understand it, shop for it, or identify providers who deliver real outcomes. FamilyPsychConsumer exists to connect, inform, and engage the most underserved customers in a healthcare marketplace - parents and family caregivers- so they may understand, competently navigate, and feel confident dealing with mental health and addiction providers and deliver the best care and resources to their loved ones.
We understand that parenting or caregiving a life affected by mental illness drains you emotionally, mentally, and sometimes financially. We want to equip parents all over the US to rapidly improve their staminas, critical thinking, and abilities to improve family health. Instead of providing self-help, chat, or unknown website links, we are engaging caregivers and following them on their journeys to become healthy and competent as they navigate the mental health care world now and in the future.
